Tommy French is on the Board of Commissioners in Baldwin County and has been an active board member for Habitat for Humanity MBC for five years. “I’ve seen Habitat MBC take a community that was publicly dead with little to no activity and revive the community. Giving homes to people that wouldn’t have them otherwise. My favorite memory of Habitat is when an elderly lady in the neighborhood, whose porch was caving in was having a hard time getting in and out of her house, Habitat MBC came in and helped her. She was so proud and happy when she finally received help.” Commissioner French plans to stay involved with Habitat by continuing to look for people that need homes. Individuals in the community that would like to have a home and that would not be able to obtain one without the partnership of Habitat MBC. Commissioner French is striving to make a difference in his community. Join #HumansForHabitat movement!

Stephen Houser is the former Director of the Mary Vinson Memorial Library in Milledgeville, GA.
As a former Board Member for Habitat for Humanity Milledgeville-Baldwin County, he has had several touching experiences and defining moments as to why he gives to and is a part of this organization. “Seeing the positive impact Habitat has had in our community is incredible. The engagement that Habitat has to listen to the community and working on a shared dream has affected me and even gives me an opportunity to have a positive effect on my community. The special thing about Habitat is the tangible evidence of the work you do and the opportunities to give people something to treasure and be prideful in is very impactful. Seeing a family being able to call a home their own, maintain it, and take pride in it is one of the most rewarding things I have experienced. I am honored to be a part of this organization.” |
