What do I need to know to qualify for a Habitat house?
In order to qualify for a Habitat house, you must answer YES to all of the following:
· Are you a citizen of, or have you worked in Baldwin County for at least the past 12 months?
· Can you provide proof of income for at least the past 12 months?
· Can you provide taxes returns for 2016 and 2017?
· If you are currently employed, can you provide copies of your two most recent paystubs?
· Do you have good credit?
· Have you sustained a savings account during a specified period of time?
· Do you earn an annual income that falls within minimum and maximum limits, depending on household size
based on the following AMI chart?
· Are you a citizen of, or have you worked in Baldwin County for at least the past 12 months?

Additionally, as a Habitat for Humanity Homeowner you will be required to:
- Invest at least 300 sweat equity hours in building your home.
- Make an affordable down payment of no more than $500.
- Make timely mortgage payments.
- Attend homeowner education classes (counts towards 300 sweat equity hours).
- Tax returns for 2016 and 2017.
- Your two most recent paystubs.
- Proof of Alimony, Child Support, Social Security, SSI, Disability, Section 8 housing and any other form of income.
- If you have ever taken a school loan, please bring documentation.
- Completed forms and documentation should be delivered to the Habitat for Humanity Office at 730 North Wayne Street, Milledgeville.
